- Maths for (Games) Programmers
- Lots of math related to game programming and programming in general. Be warned though, this is some pretty heavy stuff for those not up on their math skills. Note: the web page is really hard to read because of the background pic, so you might wanna force your browser to disable backgrounds.
- The Win95 Game Programmer's Encyclopedia
- I think this was supposed to be the win version of the old PCGPE programming tutorials a lot of us dos graphics coders read. Unfortunitly it doesn't seem like it's been updated since mid 1997, but you'll find some tutorials on graphics, sound and assembly programming under windows.
- MD'S GAME PROGRAMMING HOMEPAGE
- Looks like this page is back up. MD's page looks like it's mainly focused on demo FX (the old 2D ones) and stuff left over from the good ol' days of dos programming. There's code, tutorials, docs, libs, etc. Lots of good info...just old.
- Game Developements Search Engine
- Now this is the way search engines should be! You'll be able to find lots of good game programming related links on here just by searching or going through the different categories.
- FlipCode Game Dev. News & Resources
- On-line game developement magazine with lots of cool articles, tutorials, reviews, interviews, contests, news, code of the day, tips of the day, image of the day. Check it out if you're into game dev or 3d programming. Tons of good stuff....I have to check it out *at least* once every day =)
- Game Programming Explorer/Home Page
- Another nice game programming page (err, haven't really checked it out totally, but it has some good stuff)
- Stendahl's Computer Game Programming Links
- Excellent page for faqs/tuts/links on game and graphics programming
- The Ultimate C Game Programming Page
- Certainly not "ultimate" in my opinion, basically just a couple links and a place to download some programs he made. I have no clue how he got so many hits with a page like that...probably because he has the word "ultimate" in his title. Nonetheless, you might find something...I dunno!
- Gamasutra
- "The Art and Science of Making Games". I'm not exactly sure what it is, but it looks like a game programming magazine. They have tons and tons of great articles you can read on different aspects of game programming. That's not all either...they have lots of other things (like an internet radio station), but you'll just have to see yourself =) Thanks to DarkLord for finding the link!
- Amit's Game Programmer Information
- Lots of great game programming info here like shortest paths algos, tile/hexagon based engines, AI, OOP, and more. I'm surprised I don't have his link here since it's on just about every programming links page =) Good stuff here if you're interested in strategy games and stuff. Oh, and thanks to Dark Lord for sending me the URL!
- GameDev.net
- Looks like this site's moved to a new URL and changed its name. Anyway, lots of good game dev stuff like articles/tutorials, etc. Somethin' new almost every day.
- Game and Graphics Programming
- Haven't checked this page out too well, but it looks like a new site focussing on game programming and optimizing. Not much here yet (as I write this), but hopefully they'll be more stuff later on. Thanks to Darkhawk for the link. Note: link was wrong (fixed 03/23/98)
- Game Developer's Resourcium
- A links page covering game-related sites with things like 3d, graphics, sound, etc.
- Game Programming Galaxy
- Great place to find info on game programming. Lots of well written tutorials on things like RLE spites, particle systems, transparency, and tile-based games (including isometric).
- Game Programming Resources and Links
- Collection of game programming (and 3D programming) info, links, source code, libs, tutorials, and more. Great place to start out if you're just getting into game programming.
